Commitment to Wellness
The Wellness Business Systems staff (20 and growing) are a group of people
with tremendous experience in their respective areas of expertise, all
committed to the mission of the company. Our staffing philosophy is
that only people who have "been there - done that" in a Wellness practice or
Software/Business Tools Support can understand and have the required
compassion to "nurture the nurturers", which is our fervent goal.
Our staff break down into the following three areas:
Management
- Our management
team has over 60 years
of collective experience in the software industry, 40 of those years working
at Microsoft Corporation. We understand building and supporting great
products, and we understand how to grow and sustain a solid market-share.
Product Development
- The 4 member development staff have over
80 years of collective experience in the PC software development business at top companies
including Microsoft, Netscape, Santa Cruz Operation, McGraw Hill and the Wollongong Group: there is no company making similar software products that
has this depth in their development staff.
Customer Service and Support
- Our
customer support is one of our most respected assets, primarily because
our Customer Service Representatives are ALL experienced studio
owners/managers, who used Wellworks to manage their businesses before
becoming Wellworks Support staff members. Our Technical Support
Engineers have been supporting Wellworks since the beginning and know our
products and our customer's business needs inside-and-out.
Collectively, our Customer Service team has over 20 years hands on
Wellworks experience!
Management Team
Justin White, Founder, Director of Development
Justin has been in the software industry since 1981, just before the PC became the PC! Justin's experience covers a wide range of responsibilities, from President of his own consulting business building accounting systems in New York City to Chief Information Officer for a major corporation serving the food industry to a number of influential positions at Microsoft. During his 10 years at Microsoft, Justin was part of the initial team of engineers to roll out the Access application and database development product in 1994 as well the Sales Manager for the Rocky Mountain Region and finally a General Manager in the MSN division working on Microsoft's experimental website, Sidewalk.com.
John Meyer, Founder, Director Sales and Marketing
John has over 20 years experience in sales and marketing management. His career includes working at the Microsoft Corporation for 14 years, most recently as the Marketing and Business Development Manager for the Rocky Mountain States. He retired from Microsoft in 2000 so that he could help raise his new son, spend more time at home, and be more involved on the board of trustees at two non-profit organizations. John is a true believer in keeping fit and staying well by taking care of yourself, versus accepting the "illness" paradigm of the Healthcare industry.
Eric Welsh, Vice President Software Development
For more than a decade, Eric has been obsessed with developing
human-friendly software. He describes his approach as “democratizing
technology” – enabling non-technical people to achieve extraordinary things
through intuitive applications of technology. He is the co-founder of
EverythingYoga.com, and the creator of Yogacommunities.com,
Greenlisted.org, and the content management and ecommerce system The
Imagination Lab.
Kimberly Jonas, Vice President of Product Management
Kimberly has
has been with the
Wellworks since its inception
and previously work ed in product management
for years, most recently as a Senior Product Manager with InterArt, a
division of Hallmark. She is uniquely qualified to have helped the company
develop products for the wellness market:
as the former owner of Alchemy of Movement in Boulder, Colorado,
featuring yoga, dance, Pilates, massage, skincare & retail, Kimberly has
extensive knowledge of the inner-workings of wellness centers and studios.
Lesalea Hurst,
Director of Franchise Sales
Lesalea brings to Wellworks over 15
years of successful business and sales management experience from the Spa,
Fitness, and Franchising industries. Her world class spa and management
experience includes The Spa at Caesar's Palace, The Grand Spa at the MGM Grand,
and Orange County California's premier Spa & Fitness Club. Franchise experience
includes Camp Bow Wow, the country's first and largest Doggy Day Camp Franchise
where she increased the number of franchise locations from 55 to 180 within 1
1/2 years. Her desire to help others and passion for wellness translates through
providing exceptional service.

Justin White, Director of Product Development - Wellworks
Justin developed the original Wellworks product and continues overseeing
advances and new Wellworks feature developments.
Eric Welsh, Vice President Software Development
Eric designed and developed the Wellworks eCommerce
site, Wellworks Marketplace. He oversees the continuous improvement of the
Wellworks SaaS solution and sets the architectural direction of the Wellworks
product roadmap.
David Breedlove, Senior Product Developer - Wellworks
David has been developing software applications for the PC market since 1982,
involved with projects large and small including releasing world-class internet
applications to market during the dot-com boom and working on distributed PC
applications in corporate environments, most recently with McGraw Hill. He
lives with his wife on California's Monterey Peninsula, and is an avid tennis
player, traveler, hiker, reader, and seashore lover.
Karen Murtagh, Senior Product Manager - Wellworks
Karen has been with Wellworks from nearly the
beginning and for years was the Director of Customer Support. As
Wellworks Product manager Karen oversees the development specifications, quality
control, and release management of the product, as well as being responsible for
the development of customer training. Prior to coming to Wellworks, Karen
background was in event management. For a period of time she also managed
a wellness practice, which led her to becoming one of our first customers, and
having a significant impact on the development and design of the Wellworks
products.

Stephen Uvalle, Director of Customer Service and Support
Stephen has over three years experience working with Wellworks clients. His
degree in Contemplative Psychology (east meets west) from the Buddhist Naropa
University in Boulder may make him uniquely qualified to understand the
needs of our customers: if you could look up “Calm, cool, and collected” in the
dictionary there would be a picture of Stephen. Stephen
manages all aspects of Customer Service and technical support for the Wellworks
products, including vendor management with the Wellworks Marketplace.
Kate Meadville, Senior Customer Service Representative
One of Kate’s strong points is relationship building. Kate has built wonderful
relationships over the years working at Wellworks. Through these
relationships she was able to build strong customer loyalty with our clients.
Kate has worked with us since the beginning and she has trained many of our new
trainers. Kate brings a lot of credibility to Wellworks though her
knowledge of Wellworks, her training background, her personal experience
managing a studio that used Wellworks, and her patient and sincere devotion to
customer service.
Jeb Cadwell, Senior Customer Service
Representative
Jeb has been instrumental in nurturing the nurturers through exemplary Wellworks
training and customer support follow-up. Jeb is a Yoga teacher and managed Priya
Yoga in Chicago using Wellworks. He always gets rave reviews on his customer
training and support. Jeb is also a stand up comedian, and musician. His Mac
background makes him one of our Mac experts. Jeb has a great sense of humor and
is an all around nice guy!
Margaret Carpinelli,
Customer Relations and Shipping Manager, Marketplace
Two of Margaret’s strong points are listening and patience. She is very good at
training new clients. Her experience and skills come from 20 years of working in
an office/corporate environment and 25 years of office education. Her education
back ground and her familiarity with Wellworks makes her a great customer
service liason. Margaret has also used Wellworks to manage a Pilates
Studio.
Sharon Weinblatt, Senior
Technical Support Engineer
Sharon is one of the rare left-brainers who can completely move into the
right-brained space to help nurturers through any technical challenge! Her
background in teaching public school teachers how to use computers has given her
a wealth of compassion for PC newcomers, and her marathon running every weekend
keeps her at the forefront of fitness and wellness. And she has all the
technical certifications you would expect from a dedicated engineer!
Bonnie Eckert, Office Manager
A fellow nurturer on the path of Wellness and
expanded consciousness, Bonnie enjoys Yoga, Nia Dance, Bicycling and Travel.
Based in Boulder, Co. Bonnie is the Personal Assistant to Justin White and lead
administrator for Wellness Business Systems, though her sales and marketing
skills are blossoming! Bonnie also has her own photography business, is a
single mom of two great children, and is very excited about belonging to the
Wellworks family.
